Officers investigated a shocking threat of violence against a grandmother. The woman’s granddaughter called officers just before 6 pm to say that her father had called her to say she should get her children and leave his mother’s home because he was coming over and planned to burn the house down to kill her grandmother.
The woman also said her father threatened to beat up his mother. Officers took a statement and gave the grandmother a victim’s rights package. The woman went to a relative’s house to spend the night.

Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies were unable to locate the man who made the threat.
