Dorothy Mae Cremeans, 78, of Wheelersburg passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation in Wheelersburg under the care of Heartland Hospice. She was born to the late Anthony Firm and Annie (Brown) Harr on February 6, 1943, in Brushy Creek, Ky. She worked at Delicious Fruit Farm in St. Paul, KY., where she met her husband Sonny, later she worked at Boulevard Garden Center, and finally, she worked in housekeeping at Hempstead Manor in Portsmouth. Dorothy loved cooking, gardening, and working with her flowers. Her and Sonny loved taking their yearly trip to Gatlinburg, TN.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Paul Cremeans and wife Kathy, Danny Cremeans and wife Leah; grandchildren, Breanna and husband Zachary, Mia and husband Korey, Brandon and wife Becky, Heather, Kyle, and wife Taylor; great-grandchildren, Gabby, Taylor, Kenzie, Alara, Grayson, Karsyn Willow and Karson; two sisters, Linda Wallace and Donna Davis and husband Raymond. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Paul Cremeans whom she married November 14, 1961; and a brother-in-law, Bob Wallace.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME (WOLFE – NELSON CHAPEL) in Sciotoville with interment following at Collier Cemetery in South Portsmouth, KY, the family ask guests to wear masks to the service and there will be some available at the funeral home for those who need one.
A dinner will be held after the graveside service at Sciotoville Christian Church anyone wanting to bring food for the family are asked to bring it to the church at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
