Two suspects are behind bars after Portsmouth police booked them on an eye-popping lineup of drug and weapons charges early Thursday morning.

Officers charged Short with:

- Possession of Drugs — 2 counts
- Having Weapons While Under Disability
- Improperly Handling Firearms in a Motor Vehicle — 2 counts
- Possessing Criminal Tools
She appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court for arraignment and is being held in jail until her Sept. 25 hearing.
Demetrius Smith
Smith faces an even longer list, including:
- Trafficking in Drugs — 3 counts
- Possession of Drugs
- Having Weapons While Under Disability — 2 counts
- Improperly Handling Firearms in a Motor Vehicle — 2 counts
- Possessing Criminal Tools
- Failure to Appear
He is also set to appear in court on Sept. 25.
