First responders managed to revive a man after being called to his home for a cardiac arrest. They found him lying unresponsive on his sofa and administered Narcan to revive him. After they loaded him into the ambulance, they called the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
When a deputy asked him if he remembered what types of drugs he’d taken, he said he remembered using crack and woke up to find EMS around him. When asked if there were other drugs in the home, he said he’d smoked them all. The deputy gave him a pamphlet about drug treatment options, and the ambulance transported him to a Huntington hospital for treatment.
Officers responded to another report of an overdose just after midnight. EMS personnel were already treating the woman but deputies noticed there was white powder on her nose.
The woman said she had mixed cocaine that could have been combined with fentanyl. The officer provided her with a pamphlet, and EMS transported her to a Huntington hospital.
