Lilly Mae Rowe, 87, of South Shore, Kentucky, went to be with her Lord Friday, June 13, 2025, at her residence in Ashland, Kentucky. She was born in South Shore, Kentucky, on May 18, 1938, a daughter of the late Homer Hunt and Marguerite Potter Hunt.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Sharen Everman; one brother, Jerry Hunt; and a grandson, Carlos Everman.
Lilly retired from ARMCO Steel, where she worked in the maintenance department. She was an avid traveler and visited several countries. In addition, she was an active member of the Fullerton Chapter of the Eastern Star and the East Tygart Homemakers. Lilly was also honored as a Kentucky Colonel. Lilly’s true passion was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters: Beverly (Ernest) Madden from Ashland, Kentucky, and Karen (Jerry) Hancock of Greenup, Kentucky. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Mike (Melody) Madden from Ashland, Kentucky; Fielden (Jonda) Madden from Westwood, Kentucky, Melissa (Eric) Powell from South Shore, Kentucky, and Matthew Dingess from Greenup, Kentucky, Michael (Tiffany) Dingess from West Hamlin, West Virginia, Lilly Franz from Greenup, Kentucky, Brandon (Elizabeth) Evans from South Shore, Kentucky, and eight great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is remembered by one sister, Elaine Hannah of Cincinnati, Ohio, as well as several other family members and friends who will deeply miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky, with Pastor Chris Fannin officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery in South Shore, Kentucky. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, June 16, 2025, at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
