A tragic situation for one local family got even worse when a son allegedly assaulted his father over a disagreement about a funeral.
The man said his son was not happy about some of the people his father had allowed to attend a family funeral earlier in the day. He told his father he planned to come fight him.

He was warned not to come over, but he showed up anyway. When the father advised his son to just let it go and leave, a fight broke out, and his son struck him multiple times in the face.
Officers took photographs of the man’s injuries and screenshots of text conversations leading up to the altercation.
