Minnie Bennett, age 97, of Wheelersburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Born on February 5, 1927, she was the daughter of Zura Ruby and Cora (Huston) Ruby. Minnie was the beloved owner and operator of the former Bennett’s Market in the Allentown area of Wheelersburg and retired from the USSA Service Center. She was a 1945 graduate of Clay High School.
Minnie was a devoted member of the Sand Hill Christian Baptist Church and Christ Sanctuary in Sciotoville. She cherished spending time with her family and had a passion for travel. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her daughters Debbi White (Jim) of McDermott, Pam Robertson of Florida, and Tina Gills (Gary) of Wheelersburg; one sister Ruth Litz of Hilliard; 4 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband Homer, brothers Chester, Harley, and Orville Ruby, Eugene Huston who was like a brother, and sisters Mary Wiget, Edna Winters, Bessie Edwards, Helen Ruby, and Geneva Mays.

Graveside Service will be Monday January 27, 2025, 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace with Pastor Terry Longmire officiating.
