The owners of an area rehab contacted officers after they said a neighbor confronted an employee, accusing the facility of polluting a creek with excrement.
They said a neighbor said there was “s*** in the creek” and it came from the Ironton rehab. They also alleged the neighbor said, “They were going to be sorry and their problems were just beginning.”
The neighbor had previously blocked the road leading to the facility and refused to allow staff members to leave. The owners also complained about cyber harassment.
When officers investigated, they learned the neighbor had previously complained about the facility’s dumpster blocking the road and also that their sewer system was leaking into the creek. Officers forwarded the information to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
