Just before 5 pm on Saturday, PPD received a disturbing call that 2 small children had been pepper sprayed in the face by a Postal Worker.
In addition to the police, a supervisor from the Post Office was on the scene to assess the situation. In short order, EMS was called to respond to the Center Street home.
As EMS treated the children at the scene, police obtained statements from all parties involved.
PPD reports that the Postal Worker was in the process of spraying their dog and, somehow, also sprayed the 2 children in the face.
In the rush to get out of the house, the homeowners locked themselves out. Police assisted them with that issue.
The Medics stated that after treating the children on the scene, the parents refused to have the children transported to SOMC for further evaluation.
