In loving memory of our dear Robert “Bob” L Todd, 79 years old, Lucasville resident, formerly Galion, OH, passed away on May 27, 2024, at SOMC Hospice, Portsmouth, OH. Born on March 29, 1945, to Cleo and Yvonne (Nee Todd) Spillman, Robert’s legacy of love and dedication will forever live on.
He will be deeply missed by his cherished wife of 47 years, Sparkle (Nee Caulley) Todd, who was the love of his life. Alongside Sparkle, Bob leaves behind his children: Christopher (Marty) Todd of Delaware, OH, and step-children, Ryan (Angie) Hackworth of North Richland Hills, TX and Kimberli (Brian) Mollenkopf of Lancaster, to carry on his spirit. Robert also leaves his precious sister, Debra (Denny) Bazler of West Portsmouth, brother Steve Cantrell of Prospect, OH, and sister Marianne Gotgoff of FL, and his beloved cousin, Phyllis Craycraft of Lucasville, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He leaves behind multiple grandchildren: Mary-Kay, Allison, Katie, Sierra, Harlee, Willow, Rowan, Hunter, Alexis, Quinton, Gracie Mae, Ava and great grandchildren Ellie Rose and Oliver James.
A hardworking man, Bob dedicated 18 years of his life to his career as a machinist at Perfection Cobey in Galion and then as a production manager at HPM in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, and finished his career working as an installer at Southern Ohio Security (S.O.S), in Portsmouth, Ohio, always ensuring excellence in all he did. Beyond his professional life, Bob found solace in the simple joys of life; his collection of hats and watches, the melodies of music, and playful card games with his family brought him immeasurable happiness.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life gathering will be held on Friday, May 31st, 2024, from 7:00-8:00 pm with a service immediately following to share wonderful memories of him and enjoy light refreshments on behalf of Bob! As we gather to remember Bob’s life, let us cherish the memories we shared, the laughter we echoed, and the love he bestowed upon us all.
May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before him, his parents and beautiful son and daughter in law, Craig and Karen (Nee Parsons) Todd.
Bob, your presence will forever be missed, but your spirit will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
