Tressie Mae Hall, 79, of Piketon, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born April 23, 1946 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Linville and Mella Tackett Russell. On May 6, 1978 she was united in marriage to William R. Hall who preceded her in death on September 16, 2016. She is survived by her children, Travis (Christina) Woods of Waverly and Misti Hall of Piketon; grandchildren, Katelynn Woods, Erica Woods, Wyatt Woods, Tori Woods and Addison Hall; great-grandchildren, Alanna Woods, Aleiah Woods and Waylon Colburn; a brother, Allen (Faye) Russell of Waverly and a sister, Linda Williams of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers, Sam and Dannie Russell and her dear friend, Nelda Jo Maggard.
Tressie loved her family more than herself. She was selfless and giving. She loved to travel and spending time with her family as well as her extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
