A string of crimes kept officers hopping during the lunch hour. Just before noon, a man came into the police department to report someone assaulted him at Sidetracks Bar. Officers took information for a report and provided a victim’s rights form.
A few minutes later, a caller told police someone broke into their late mother’s home on 14th Street. They said the thieves trashed the house and stole several items. Officers took information for a report.
At 12:30 pm, an employee from a local sober living house reported that a man came into the home and held a woman down in her bedroom. They said the man walked through the front door even though no men were allowed in the facility. The man had already left, so officers took information for a report.
At 1 pm, a woman contacted police to report someone went into her home in the 2100 block of the Scioto Trail and took several things. Police took information for a report.
