Derrik Dwayne Richard Tabor, 42, of Portsmouth passed away on March 7, 2026, in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born on August 16, 1983, to the late Kristi Jo Jennings and Dwayne Eugene Tabor.
Derrik was a 2002 graduate of Portsmouth East High School. He was an avid football and basketball fan, with the Cincinnati Bengals being his favorite football team. Although he faced his own demons, he never lost his deep love for his family.
Derrik was a Certified Nurse Assistant with Wise Home Care in South Point at the time of his passing.
He is survived by his children, Joshua Bryson Tabor (Naudia Burgin) of Chillicothe, Jayse Dakota Tabor of New Boston, Kaelyn Paige Tabor of New Boston and Alyssa Ruggles of Portsmouth; one granddaughter, Mayleigh Lou Ann Tabor; brothers, Dustin Morrison and Corey Tabor, both of Portsmouth; two sisters, Destiny Jennings of West Portsmouth, and Marissa Metcalf of Portsmouth; and several nieces, nephews and their families.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Dennis Dawes, Minister officiating. Visitation will be from 6 pm until the start of the memorial service.
