A Saturday morning call in Portsmouth ended with the discovery of a deceased man on Brown Street, prompting a response from police and emergency crews.
Just before 9 a.m., a caller contacted dispatch reporting that a man was not breathing. Portsmouth Police and EMS were sent to the scene, where medics quickly confirmed the individual had died.
Officers secured the area and contacted the Scioto County Coroner’s Office, which responded and officially pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
Authorities then worked to identify the man and notify next of kin. Information was gathered for a report as part of the initial investigation.
While details remain limited, the discovery quickly drew attention online, with multiple individuals expressing shock on social media after learning of the situation.
