Donna J. Blankenship Cline, 92, of South Portsmouth, KY, passed away on May 31, 2026, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born on May 21, 1934, the daughter of the late Rosevelt and Mary Alice Moore Blankenship.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Clark H. Cline; one brother, Ted Blankenship; and two sisters, Louise Gwinn and Deloris Mullins.
She is survived by her daughter, Rita (Charlie) Fannin of South Portsmouth, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Donya (Shane Messer) Fannin and Darrin (Kelli) Fannin; three great-grandchildren, Xyler, Parker and Vanessa; one brother, Ed (Paulette) Blankenship of Apopka, Florida; along with several family members and friends who will dearly miss her.
Donna was a Kentucky Colonel, a former employee of The Portsmouth Daily Times, and was a member of White Oak Chapel. She could also be found many times traveling from one church to another with her husband, Clark, as he was called to preach. Donna was an avid crafter and loved crocheting, knitting, hand embroidery, and had won many ribbons with her quilts.
A private graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Blankenship Cemetery in South Portsmouth, KY, with Wesley Buck officiating. Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home was entrusted with her care.
