FOUND: Female & 2 Children Missing in Scioto County Woods
For the last couple of hours, a search has been concentrated in the woods around the 1500 block of McDermott-Rushtown Rd.
Volunteers from several county fire departments are in a frantic search for a missing adult female and two children.
There have been calls for ATVs and “Side-by-Sides” to assist in the search.
No names have been released.
At this hour, there seem to be no plans to stop searching as more volunteers join the efforts for the missing female and children.

At 9:55 pm rescuers were called in to “regroup”.On the scene: Washington, Rush, and Union township volunteer fire departments. At this time, the volunteers stated they had not seen anyone from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.

At 11:30 pm, the searchers remained in the woods. One part of the group said they identified some fresh-looking prints near Sheep Ranch Hollow Rd. Searchers report hearing yells, and have begun to converge into that area.

At 11:36 Union Twp announced, “We’ve Located”. You could clearly hear the passion and relief in that one simple sentence.

EMS was called at 11:40 to stage at Taylor Lumber to begin the physical assessment of the victims. It is still unknown but presumed, they are related.

Searchers say the female and 2 children were located near a pond around Sheep’s Ranch Hollow. According to the first responders, they seem to be in good health “just some scratches and scrapes”. They are taking all 3 to the staging area at Taylor Lumber for closer examination.
