Unwanted Visitor
Officers responded to Aldi Foods on Gallia for a report of a man who had been barred from the property in the parking lot.
Police detained the man and took him into custody on an open warrant.
Burnt Car on Poplar Street
At 10 am, a Poplar Street caller reported subjects had a burned vehicle up on jacks and were cutting parts off it.
Officers notified the owner that if they didn’t move the vehicle, it would be towed.
Hey, That’s My Stuff
A woman contacted police to report her ex-boyfriend stole the license plate from her vehicle and put it on her granddaughter’s vehicle.
At 11:45 am, a caller contacted officers to complain that a woman signed for her certified mail and was not refusing to give it to her. She said the post office stated the woman signed for it, but the woman denied it. The complainant thought it might be her driver’s license. Police suggested she contact the DMV.
Kroger reported two female shoplifters just after 8 pm. Officers spoke with the women and they agreed to leave the store.
Parolee Overdoses at Iron Body Fitness
Just before noon, a caller from Iron Body Fitness reported that a man came into the business and appeared to have overdosed. The caller reported he was foaming at the mouth.
Police arranged for him to be transported to the hospital and notified his parole officer to check in on him at the hospital.
Taking a Leak on 10th Street
At 2:28 pm, witnesses reported a man urinating in front of people in front of the AEP Substation on 10th Street.
Police found him lying on the ground and advised him of the complaint. They advised him to move along.
Man Goes Missing From Nursing Home
A nursing home contacted police at 5:54 pm to report that a resident was missing from the facility.
An officer caught up with the man on Royce Street and returned him safely to the facility.
Road Rage at Burger King
A man contacted police at 6:50 pm to report a road rage incident near Burger King. He said when he left Burger King, a man in a silver car almost ran him off the road and they exchanged words.
He gave the other driver’s license plate number to the police.
Don’t Leave the Keys in the Backhoe
Just after 11 pm, an officer found a city backhoe running on Mary Ann Street. Dispatch paged city services to come to turn off the equipment.
