Sybil J. Meadows, 84, of Wheelersburg, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2022, from the Southern Ohio Medical Center emergency room surrounded by her family. Born on June 22, 1937, in Scioto County, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Grace Smith Williams and co-owner of the former Colonial Carpet.
Sybil was a member of Sciotodale Free Will Baptist Church and Wheelersburg Baptist Church.
Also preceding her in death in 2012 were her husband, Hearst “Skip” Meadows.
Surviving are a son, Jeff (Joanna) Meadows of Chattanooga, TN; two daughters, Pam (Ross) Scaggs of Huntington, WV and Kim (Todd) Jarvis of Wheelersburg; a brother, Roger (Pat) Williams of Sciotodale; five sisters, Janet Porter of Wheelersburg, Beulah (John) Hagen of South Webster, Sue Leadingham of Wheelersburg, Judy (Coulter) of Birmingham, AL and Nancy (John) Mullins of Wheelersburg; six grandchildren, J. T. Meadows, Jillie (Tyler) Ownbey, Jessica (Chris) White, Meredith (Bobby) Greene, Braxton Jarvis and Bergen (Paul) Turnbull and four special great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Sybil’s Life will be held at noon on Wednesday, May 11th, at Sciotodale Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Price officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at the church after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
