Death Threats on Chillicothe Street
Officers responded to Portsmouth Connex on Chillicothe after they reported that a client who had left the scene had threatened to come back and kill them all.
Police headed to the man’s home but could not locate him, though they eventually caught up with him at 11th and Hutchins.
Police took the man into custody. However, he was not booked into the jail.
Hot Tempers at Hot Head Burritos
Portsmouth Police responded to Hot Heat Burritos just after 9:30 am for a report of a couple fighting.
A detective caught up with the pair and got both sides of the story. The altercation was verbal, though the female half’s property was damaged.
Neither party wanted to press charges, so an officer gave the woman a ride to the Dollar General in West Portsmouth.
Fears Blind and Deaf Grandma Is Getting Ripped Off by Relatives
A worried grandson contacted Portsmouth Police with concerns his blind and deaf grandma was being ripped off by another relative.
He said the relative had had strangers in the house, and he was worried about her welfare. He also admitted he had no proof these people had taken anything. Officers advised him of what steps he could take next.
Man Trashes 4th Street Alley
Neighbors on 4th Street contacted police at 11 pm to report that a man was going down the alley, dumping over trash cans, and yelling. Witnesses said they heard someone call the man “Eddie.”
When officers arrived on the scene, they took Edward Krekeler into custody for probation violation. This was his 20th time at the Scioto County Jail.
Previous arrests include driving under a suspended license, failure to appear, theft, drug possession, and 13 other counts of probation violation.
Speedway Robbery Plot Uncovered
Just after midnight, an employee of the Speedway on Gallia contacted officers to report that a customer came in and said she overheard two men outside plotting to rob the store.
However, by the time police arrived on the scene, the witness had left. Police checked the area but didn’t see anyone suspicious.
