Taco Bell Trouble – Man Arrested for 85th Time

A man with an almost unbelievably long arrest record found himself behind bars in the Scioto County Jail for the 85th time after an incident on Friday.

The troubled homeless man has a particular fondness for Gallia Street businesses, especially the Taco Bell. Just after 3 pm, PPD responded to a complaint that he was in the lobby of the restaurant, despite having been banned from the property.

Police took him into custody and booked him into the Scioto County Jail on a disorderly conduct charge. This was his 85TH arrest overall, his third arrest so far this year, and his 22nd arrest in the past year.

However, just after 6 pm, he returned to the hotel and caused another disturbance. When officers headed back to the scene, they discovered an open warrant for failure to appear for Jeffery Sowards, 58.

Police impounded and towed his vehicle and booked him into the Scioto County Jail on the open warrant and for driving under a suspension.  This was his 67th time behind bars in the Scioto County Jail.
