Community Action Organization (CAO) of Scioto County’s Workforce Solution and Community Development arm is ready to kick off a summer of feeding activities for youth.
“We serve a county that has food deserts, youth dependent on school lunches, and families in need of extra support in feeding their kids,” Department Director Luanne Valentine said. “We have a trained staff of people working hard all summer to make sure these gaps are bridged, because it is a vital service. Nobody wants to see a hungry child and we do what we can to relieve that burden on struggling parents.”
