Man Calls 911 Eight Times For Band-Aid
Just after midnight, Scioto County 911 received multiple calls from a man who only spoke Spanish. By the fourth call, dispatch was able to determine he wanted the police. The man later called back, apologized and asked if anyone spoke Spanish. According to reports, he called a total of eight times.
Dispatch determined the call was coming from a Wheelersburg address and sent officers to investigate. When they arrived on the scene, they discovered two intoxicated Spanish-speaking men.
With the help of the Google Translate app, officers determined one man had cut his finger opening a bottle. An officer gave the man a Band-Aid and advised him to only call 911 in emergencies.
