There have been several incidents both in our area and around the state of kids being let off the bus in the wrong place, and Portsmouth Police Officers investigated an incident just after 3 p.m.

A caller reported a small child dropped off at 18th and Grandview with no adults around. An officer spoke with the child and got her address, then transported her home.
When the police got to the house, the mother was there. She said the child was supposed to go to daycare and not get on the bus at all. The officer left the child in the care of its mother.
