Tis the season for shoplifters to help themselves to stuff at Walmart. Just before 5 pm, deputies headed to the South Point Walmart after loss prevention detained Gidget Timberman with stolen goods in her purse and backpack.
A deputy transported her to the Lawrence County Jail, where officers found a Roku remote hidden in her hoodies. A deputy returned the item to the store.
The manager at Tractor Supply contacted officers to report a woman putting items in her purse. When the manager tried to confront her, she ran to her vehicle and drove away. The manager did get the license plate number. She said she found an empty boot box in the store. The manager said she’d contact officers with the store security footage.
Officers returned to Walmart after the staff reported a woman walked out of the store with a cart stuffed full of $200 worth of items she didn’t pay for. Police arrested Haley Blake and booked her into the Lawrence County Jail.
