Eva Marie Sexton, 95, of Minford, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. She was born November 21, 1928, to Susan and Adam Swords in Kentucky.
Eva Sexton was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a warmhearted grandmother, and a devout Christian, known for her impeccable sewing skills, scrumptious cooking, and her adept gardening. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, her generosity, and her delicious fried potatoes.
Family was of utmost importance to Eva. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Sexton, and her 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children: Wayne (Shirley) and Marvin (Teresa), her grandchildren: Tony (Missy), Tawnya (Mike), Josh (Brandon), and Courtney (Jeff), and her great-grandchildren: Lesleigh (Jeff), Emily, Derrick, Connor, Carly and Eleanor, and, her great great grandchildren: Landon and Addillin. Eva’s legacy will live on through her newest great-granddaughter, Eleanor Marie. Eleanor was named after her great-grandmother, with whom she shares both her chin and her initials (EMS).
Eva will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her family and friends. She truly loved each of them and never met a stranger – if you knew her or knew of her, you knew just how loved and cared for you were. Eva was a beautiful person inside and out. She was so kind and passionate. Her smile and laugh would brighten any room. Eva made an impact on the lives of many and will be forever missed.
Friends and family are invited to a funeral service to celebrate Eva Sexton’s life on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Mike Simpson officiating.
