Mary Jane Lute (Raby), 72, of Minford, lost her long, courageous battle with cancer after 14 years on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at SOMC Hospice. She was born April 27, 1952, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Doran Edgar and Margaret Mae Belle Bramblett Lute.
She was a nurse for 30 years, most recently working at Bristol Village, and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved taking care of people and was a selfless mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend that will be loved and missed by all her family.
She is survived by her husband, JP Raby; her daughter who was the light of her life, Amanda (Kevin) Jones; four grandchildren, Kayden Shelton, Kyleigh Shelton, Kayleb Johnson, Khloe Johnson; four step-children, Jason Raby, Stephanie Clefford, Stacy Rayburn, Tracy Eldridge; many step grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Donna (Dennis) Anderson; many nieces and nephews, and special friends, Stella Bachtel, Jim & Judy Beech.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles M. Lute, Edgar S. Lute, William “Bill” Lute; friend, Nancy Yadon, and several nieces and nephews.
