Officers headed to a Kinneys Lane home after an 83-year-old woman called for help, saying she didn’t have heat in her house.
She asked if she could go to the hospital to get warm or if offices could help fix her furnace. When medics checked out the basement, they found it was flooded with two feet of water and that the furnace was submerged.
Medics transported the woman to the hospital and said they would look into what resources were available to assist her.
