🍺 BARROOM MELTDOWN! CLOSING-TIME CHAOS AT FRANK & STEINS

You don’t have to go home — but you do have to leave the bar. That’s the rule that landed one woman in hot water (and eventually the hospital) after a late-night blowup at Frank & Steins Lounge on Chillicothe Street.

Just after closing time, staff called Portsmouth Police to report an intoxicated patron who refused to leave. By the time officers arrived, she wasn’t just lingering — she was completely out of control and making multiple threats of self-harm. 🚨

Police quickly called for an ambulance, and medics transported her to Southern Ohio Medical Center for evaluation. No charges were filed at the time, but the dramatic exit definitely got the attention of other patrons.

🍹 If a Bar Patron Gets Out of Control:

  • 📞 Call police immediately — don’t try to physically remove someone yourself.
  • đź—Ł Stay calm and clear — avoid yelling or aggressive language that could escalate the situation.
  • đźš· Keep distance — intoxicated individuals can lash out unexpectedly.
  • đź“‹ Document the behavior — time, actions, and witnesses can help if charges follow.
  • 🧠 Remember mental health — threats of self-harm should always be taken seriously.

Because when last call turns into a police-and-ambulance call, it’s a reminder that safety — for patrons and staff — comes first.
