A man was discovered deceased Tuesday evening near King’s Daughters Medical Center.
Just before 8 p.m., hospital security reported finding the man slumped over inside a vehicle parked near the hospital. Security personnel immediately notified authorities, telling officers that the man appeared to be unresponsive.
Portsmouth Police and emergency medical crews responded to the scene. EMS confirmed that the individual had passed away.

The vehicle was later towed to the city impound lot as officers collected details for their report. The man’s identity and cause of death have not been released pending further investigation.
