Jack R. Jenkins, beloved brother and uncle, age 78 of Waverly, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025 with loved ones at his bedside. He was born on May 19, 1947 to the late James H. and Druza Jenkins. He is preceded in death by 10 siblings; William, James, Omer, Homer, Robert, Elizabeth Borders, Marie Williams, Bertha Jenkins, Ruth Borden and Mary Pixler. Jack is survived by his sisters; Carolyn Locke of Waverly and Janie (Jack) Wells of Minford. Loving uncle to 32 nieces and nephews and 65 great-nieces and nephews and numerous great-great- nieces and nephews.
Jack was a 1965 graduate of Eastern High School and a 1992 graduate of Coastal Carolina University. He retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service. He was an avid lifelong fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and enjoyed attending games and tailgating. He loved watching football and basketball
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Mt. Tabor Community Christian Church, 6043 Mt. Tabor Rd, Chillicothe, Ohio with Pastor rick Hartley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mt. Tabor Community Christian Church or to your local animal shelter in memory of his beloved bubba. We appreciate the support given to us by Adena Hospice. Heartfelt gratitude to Kevin and Paula Locke for their constant devotion in caring for Jack.
