A sunny afternoon at Alexandria Park took a dark turn when an older man in a blue car allegedly yelled a disturbing remark toward a mother and her young daughter, sparking a police search through downtown Portsmouth.
😡 “He Rolled Down His Window and Said It”
Just after noon, a caller reported that an older male wearing a red shirt, driving a blue car with silver along the bottom, pulled up near a woman and her little girl at the park.
According to the witness, the man leaned out the window and shouted:
“How much for that little thing?”
The remark left the mother shaken — and police treating it as a potential attempted child-luring or harassment case.
🚔 Police Search the Area
Officers immediately checked Second Street, Front Street, and River Road, but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
They took information for a report and say they’ll be reviewing nearby surveillance footage to see if any cameras caught the vehicle.
