David Lee Stiltner, 90, of Lucasville, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at SOMC Hospice. He was born February 2, 1935 in Sciotoville, a son of the late Marion and Ida (Smith) Stiltner. David was a proud U.S. Army veteran, he served his country with honor for 20 years, where he completed two years of college and was a warrant officer. During his military career, he completed three tours in Vietnam and several tours to Germany where he met and married his wife Ebba. He then worked as a civilian at Fort Bragg before retiring.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ebba (Helmdach) Stiltner; four children, Fran (John) Bennett of Lucasville, Diana (Mike) Burns of Lucasville, Moni Kielmar of Portsmouth, Uwe (Silke) Helmdach of Germany; eighy grandchildren, Megan Hale, Whittni (Brandon) Barnett, Chad (Amy) Bennett, Chris Bennett, Jannik Helmdach, Tedra Grate, Maria Hayes, Michael Burns; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Jessie (Dee) Stiltner, Dean Stiltner, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by five sisters, Grace, Ruth, Lucille, Elizabeth, Marie, and three brother, Bob, Bill, and James Stiltner.
A memorial service will be held at Noon Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Rubyville Community Church with no graveside services. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
