Agencies Team Up To Locate Missing Grandpa

From the Portsmouth Police Chief’s Daily Briefing.

A worried granddaughter called the police at 8 pm to report that her grandfather had vanished. She said he flew into Columbus and bought a bus ticket to Portsmouth for a funeral but he never showed at the funeral and the family could not locate him.

PPD contacted the Columbus PD and the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office checked multiple addresses in an attempt to locate the man.

Police learned he had been in a Columbus hospital and the hospital sent him to the Greyhound station in a cab.

The family was finally able to locate him at the bus station.
