Not surprisingly, a domestic situation spun out of control after a wife was caught in the act with her brother-in-law.
The injured woman walked into the lobby at the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office to file a domestic violence report. Officers said it was obvious that she had minor injuries and that she appeared to be in a lot of pain.
The woman said she’d been out drinking with her husband, brother-in-law, and the BIL’s girlfriend.
She said she’d made a mistake and gone out to a vehicle into the parking lot to have relations with her brother-in-law. However, her husband and the girlfriend caught them in the act.
She said her husband cussed her out all the way home, and once they got there, he hit her in the face and threw her to the ground. She said she swung at him and missed, then tackled him. At that point, she said he began to kick her.
The woman fled her home and had an aunt bring her to the Sheriff’s Office. Officers took her statement and explained the process of filing a protection order.
