Brenda MacDonald’s 40 Years Of Service Recognized

Brenda MacDonald

Brenda MacDonald says she dreamed of becoming a teacher at the former Happy Hearts School for students with developmental disabilities since she was a little girl.  She made that dream of helping come true and the Scioto County Board of Developmental Disabilities honored her for 40 years of service at an employee recognition banquet at the Scioto County Welcome Center.

MacDonald was the agency’s very first behavior management specialist, joining the agency back in 1983. Right now, she’s an intervention teacher, but she’s held multiple positions within the agency. She says that God put that kind of work in her and she has no plans to quit.

Other longtime employees were also honored at the banquet, including Nancy Sand and Cindy Corielle (30 years); Becky Mault and Cindy Kayser (25 years); Leslie Weddington (20 years); Paige Donini and Jessica Hoffer (15 years); Beth Arthurs, Tom Sherman, Jeff Horner, Melissa Gampp, Carlisa Baker, and Pam Thompson (10 years).
