Deputies arrested a Wheelersburg woman on a domestic violence charge after multiple 911 hang-up calls from a McDermott home.
Dispatchers received several 911 calls from two different phone numbers, but no one spoke directly to dispatch. Instead, dispatchers could hear a verbal argument in the background.
A third-party caller later reported that an intoxicated woman at the home had assaulted a family member and was arguing with others.
Deputies responded and detained Beverly Boatman.
According to the log, deputies read Miranda rights, and Boatman initially refused to speak with them.
Medics responded, but both patients refused transport.
Boatman was later transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center before being taken to the Scioto County Jail.
She was booked on a domestic violence charge. Boatman has previous arrests for theft, driving under a suspension, disorderly conduct, and persistent disorderly conduct. She appeared in Portsmouth Municipal court and was released on her own recognizance with a pre-trial hearing set for S
