Charles William Sanders, 55, of Franklin Furnace passed away Thursday at home after a long illness. He was born September 15, 1966, in Ironton, a son of the late Earl Sanders and Sarah Cremeans Horn.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a graduate of Green High School. He loved to ride his Harley, go camping, hunting and was an avid TV watcher.
Charles is survived by his wife, Michelle Douthat Sanders; two sons, Zac Sanders and Tori of Paintsville, KY, and William Sanders of Greenfield; a daughter, Louci (Harold) Stevens of Cynthiana, KY and a stepdaughter Heather Bays of Columbus; two brothers, David (Dorothy) Sanders of Yorktown, VA and Chris Horn of Columbus; a sister, Kimber Ramski of Texas and seven grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a stepson, Shane Bays.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Monday, July 18, 2022, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Military Rites by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be 2 to 4 PM prior to services. A private burial will take place at a later date.
