A terrified grandma called 911 at 8 pm to say her grandchild had called to report a domestic violence incident at her daughter’s home.
When Grandma arrived on the scene, she said her daughter was injured and needed an ambulance. She also said the man who attacked her had left the area in a silver van and might possibly be armed.
Deputies, EMS, and CPS responded to the home. CPS agreed to give the grandparents emergency custody. Officers issued a BOLO for the assault suspect while EMS transported the woman to SOMC.
SOMC sent the victim to Grant Hospital in Columbus for treatment, and the grandchild went home with her grandparents.
