Coroner Investigates After Body Discovered on Amer Street
Just after 6 pm, a witness reported finding an unresponsive woman in a home on Amer Street. EMS and officers responded to the scene, and a medic confirmed the woman was deceased after consulting with a doctor from SOMC.
Officers notified the next of kin, who responded to the scene and contacted the coroner. The coroner took possession of the deceased, and an officer collected evidence and took information for a report.
Grandview Avenue Garage Break-In
A Grandview Avenue homeowner contacted officers to report someone broke into his garage overnight. He said he’d put a board across the door for security, but someone had pried it off overnight.
However, nothing appeared damaged and he didn’t think anything was missing. He just wanted to make officers aware of the incident.
Couple Throwdown at Homeless Camp
Just after 11:30 am, officers responded to a homeless camp on Harmon Street for a report of a man and woman screaming and fighting.
Officers arrived at a camp in a parking lot and advised the fighting pair that it’s illegal to camp outside of a camp ground.
