CPS Removes Child from 9th Street Home
A CPS worker requested police to stand by while she removed a child from a 9th Street home at 6:20 pm. Police accompanied the worker, and the child was removed from the hope without incident.
Around 8:30 pm, a mom contacted police about an incident where she said her ex hit her daughter. When police arrived on the scene, she said the man had slapped her daughter on the nose too hard while playing. She did not want to file a report, but the officers did explain the process of filing a protection order.
About half an hour later, police received another report of suspected child abuse. Officers contacted CPS to hold a conference call to decide how to proceed.
