An angry father claims cops used excessive force dealing with his daughter and that they forged a witness statement attributed to him.
He walked into the lobby of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office just before 10 am to make his complaint.
The man said it happened in the village of Athalia, which has a population of just 279. Frequent travelers along Rt.7 know it to be a “speed trap” area.

He claimed he was there while officers manhandled his daughter and that he did not write or sign the witness statement attached to the police report.
Deputies took the man’s written statement and forwarded documentation to the detective to investigate.
