David Andrew Wroten, 80 of McDermott, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 26, 2025, after a long and courageously fought battle with small cell lung cancer, at SOMC Hospice. He was born on May 30, 1944, in South Portsmouth KY, to the late Thomas Andrew and Alice Gracie Nelson Wroten.
Along with his parents, Dave is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Carl Wroten and Jerry Wroten, and 2 sisters, Wilma Howell and Pauline Carter. Dave was a 1963 graduate of McKell High School.
After graduation he went on to be a general manager for Capital Pontiac and then to own and operate his own car lot, Dave Wroten Auto Sales. He was saved at The Way Church in Minford and was thankful to know and serve a loving God.
David is survived by his daughters, Kima Sparks, and her children, Scotty Sparks and Katelyn (Tyler) Cantrell; Karen (George) Bolton, and her children, Courtney Bolton and Chris (Brittany) Bolton; Kathy Lynn Ruiz and her children, Tara (Cameron) Meyers, Erica (Marvin) Jameson, Nathan Ruiz, and Jenna Ruiz; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Danny Wroten; a sister, Diane Erlenwein; a special friend, Maxie Grooms; special dogs, Sir Buckle and Chewie, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Andy Day officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
