A deputy offered some thoughtful relationship advice to a couple after responding to a report of a domestic violence incident.
A man called 9-1-1 after he said his girlfriend became angry over a phone call he received. He said the woman “went crazy” and began cussing and yelling at him. She then broke an ashtray and punched him in the arm.
He said he decided to leave the scene to avoid confrontation, and she broke the rearview mirror on his truck. While the officer didn’t see any injuries on the man, they noted multiple broken items around the house.
When a deputy spoke to the woman, she said this was not the first time things had gotten physical between the pair. The deputy advised her this didn’t sound like a healthy relationship and that the pair should rethink their choices.
An officer took the woman into custody for domestic violence and booked her into the Lawrence County Jail.
