Derek Myers: “Maverick Conservative” Announces Bid for Congress

Staunch conservative and defender of freedoms Derek Myers proudly launches his bid for the Republican nomination in Ohio’s 2nd Congressional District for the 2024 election.

With a commitment to conservative values and a proven track record as a fearless entrepreneur, Myers is set to bring a fight for freedom to the political arena. Myers, a former journalist-turned-entrepreneur renowned for his unrelenting pursuit of truth, steps into the political fight to champion the conservative cause. Leveraging his experience in exposing corruption and defending free speech, Myers vows to inject honesty, integrity, and a conservative voice into Congress.

“While countries are at war, we must prioritize our own. Ohio is floundering. During President Trump’s tenure, our economy thrived, and nations were at peace,” Myers said on Monday. “Under President Trump, we recognized the Golan Heights as part of the State of Israel, cementing its sovereignty. The relocation of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem underscored our commitment to acknowledging Israel’s rightful capital—a historic move echoing our profound alliance. This conflict is sad; lives are lost, yet our homeland must be our focus. I urge Israel to employ all necessary force to eradicate Hamas.”

Hailing from southern Ohio, Myers serves as the Chairman of NewsPatrol, Inc., a multi-media company headquartered in Ross County. As an entrepreneur, Myers has propelled startup businesses from infancy to seven-figure success and intends to apply his economic acumen to Capitol Hill. Myers envisions a district where freedom and opportunity thrive, emphasizing blue-collar work, boosting trade school enrollment, and expanding manufacturing. His platform includes fortifying local economies, backing law enforcement, and safeguarding constitutional rights. Prioritizing border security, combating drugs, preserving parental control over education, job creation, and taking a tough stance against China.

“Let me be clear: God is real; parents should be in charge of their children’s education; there are only two genders; the U.S. Constitution and the Bible are the greatest governing documents,” Myers declared. “Joe Biden allows China to poison our communities with fentanyl through an open border with criminals from Mexico. He has weaponized the Justice Department against President Trump, dividing our nation. We must cease funneling billions to third-world countries and declare our own wars at home against fentanyl, an open border, and disastrous trade policies. On my first day in Congress, I will introduce a bill that stops liberals like Biden in their tracks. I’ve built my career on holding the powerful accountable, and that fight won’t cease in Washington.”

Looking ahead, Myers anticipates a gratifying campaign leading up to the primary election on March 19, 2024. He pledges unwavering dedication to represent the values and aspirations of the people, vowing to be a fearless conservative voice for Ohio’s 2nd Congressional District in Washington to Make America Great Again.
