Dog Missing – Mystery Texter Demands Reward
A woman reported some strange activity involving her missing dog. When the pup went missing, she made a Facebook post with the dog’s picture and her phone number, offering a cash reward for the animal’s return.
An unknown person sent a text saying they would give the dog back if she paid the reward upfront. The person then sent a picture of the animal. However, that photo came from the woman’s own Facebook account.
She did not believe the person had her dog, but she did want to alert officers to the potential scam.
Victim Flown To Hospital After Car vs. Semi Crash
A car vs. semi crash on US 52 Thursday afternoon resulted in an injury.
The accident was reported just after 11 am. Half an hour later, medics on the scene requested an air ambulance to transport a victim to the hospital.
The rescue squad met the helicopter and the patient was flown to St. Mary’s hospital for treatment.
