Dr. David Provaznik, a physician with King’s Daughters, sat down with our Betty Smith to discuss the idea of healthy eating options while dining out.
A few days prior, Betty dropped off several local menus for Dr. Provaznik to review for the interview. When asked about healthy options, the doctor replied, “For the most part, you know, they’re not healthy choices they’re tasteful choices”. He went on to explain “It gets back to the occasional, the moderation, and portion size is what you have to choose.”
February is Heart Health Month. “Heart health is diet oriented”, Dr. Provaznik explained. “A recommended diet would be a Vegetarian or Mediterranean diet” he pointed out that, over time, they have been shown to “reverse Atherosclerosis and heart disease.”
We appreciate the time Dr. Provaznik took to speak with us today. In addition, we thank King’s Daughters for opening the door to our subscribers.
Dr. Provaznik’s office is located at 11826 Gallia Pike, Suite A in Wheelersburg. He can be reached at 740-574-4526.
