Yes, Paleo and Keto people! It’s OK to Eat Chocolate on a Ketogenic Diet.

A ketogenic diet is a low carb and high fat plan that stops you from making body fat from muscle. If you are already on this diet, keep doing it to make sure you’re losing fat from your body.

If you aren’t, go to fat loss mode and have the chocolate. If you’re not sure how to read the ingredient labels for chocolate, check out the guide below. What to look for on a chocolate bar Before you buy any chocolate bars, check the ingredients list and make sure there isn’t a lot of sugar.

Building While Broken

The sugar in chocolate is refined. It’s called sucrose and is found in white, brown, and cane sugar. Each type of sugar has its own benefits.

  • Brown sugar is brown because it’s extracted from molasses which is made from the toasted and cracked skin of sugar cane.
  • White sugar is made from refined cane because it’s the easiest to extract.
  • Cane sugar is also called corn sugar.
  • Cocoa powder is also refined from dried cocoa beans. If you’re going to make sure to buy the best quality chocolate bars that aren’t loaded with sugar.

When to eat chocolate

Paleo chocolate lovers should eat chocolate every day. Eating chocolate is important because it’s the only way you can truly appreciate the chocolate’s full flavor.

Chocolate contains the amino acid tryptophan which helps you sleep. It also contains flavonoids and antioxidants. Additionally, it contains caffeine which makes you alert and makes you think that you’re full. When you eat a lot of chocolate, you won’t have a full feeling.

Paleo chocolate lovers should also eat chocolate every day because eating the right type of chocolate can help you burn fat and even lose weight.

What kind of chocolate is the best for you

The best quality chocolate bars will usually have less sugar and more flavonoids and antioxidants. You can buy bars that have milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and even vanilla flavoring.

Lots of tricks to cut down on sugar

The best bars that are lower in sugar are Hershey’s Special Dark or milk chocolate, and Ghirardelli has wonderful white chocolate. Enjoy as many dark chocolate pieces as you want, but avoid eating a bar with a lot of caramel flavor. The more sugar, the more calories, and the less likely you are to stay full.

If you are eating chocolate a lot, it’s better to eat an ounce of dark chocolate. This is one of the best ways to get the best amount of chocolate. The calories in a pound of chocolate are about 180 calories per ounce. You can eat an ounce of dark chocolate, so this is a perfect amount.
