A Fed Ex driver was trapped in their truck after a collision with a train on St. Rt. 334. Witnesses called in the incident around 11:30 am, and officers and an ambulance responded to the scene.
When medics arrived, they discovered the train was blocking their path to the patient. They called CSX, and the railroad told everyone to stay clear of the track while they unhooked it to allow EMS to reach the driver.
EMS personnel requested an air ambulance, which said it could land at the accident scene. The driver was flown to a regional hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The scene was cleared about two hours later. No other injuries were reported.
