A FedEx driver called 911 around 3 pm after she said an Orchard Drive resident threatened her with a gun when she tried to deliver a package.
She said the woman the package was addressed to said she wanted to open it before signing for it. When the driver said that wasn’t allowed, the resident tried to grab the package. The woman got physically aggressive and waved a gun, threatening the driver.
However, the resident claimed the FedEx driver was the one who got aggressive and said that neighbors had a Ring doorbell video of the incident.
When the officer viewed the footage, they saw the resident try to grab the package from the FedEx driver, and the FedEx driver screamed at her not to put her hands on her. Officers noted that the Fed Ex driver continued to yell at the resident.
Police did not observe a weapon in the video, but the driver insisted that she saw one. Police did not think there was enough evidence to press charges.
