The Scioto County Grand Jury indicted a man with a long criminal history on child sex charges after he sent pictures of his private parts to a middle-school child via social media.
The grand jury returned indictments for attempted unlawful sexual contact with a minor, importuning and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.
Sean Freeman’s probation officer contacted detectives two weeks ago, saying they were tipped off that the 35-year-old man had propositioned a middle-school student via social media.
Detectives learned the man had sent the child pictures of his genitals and propositioned the child to meet him for sex.
Officers quickly moved to take Freeman into custody and booked him into the Scioto County Jail on charges of unlawful sexual contact with a minor, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, importuning, and probation violation.
The 35-year-old man has a long criminal record with arrests for domestic violence, unlawful restraint, aggravated menacing, felonious assault, kidnapping, multiple probation violations, and several drug charges.
In addition to his woes in Scioto County, Freeman has 11 pending charges in Vinton County for disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.
